Submagic's plans limit how long each video can be: 2 minutes on Starter, 5 on Pro and 30 on Business. ClipSnitch plans are measured in minutes of uploaded video, so a long recording is the normal starting point. It suggests moments with a score and keeps the speaker in a 9:16 frame, with a split screen when two people talk.
Submagic is broad on captions and languages, and is worth comparing if that is your priority. ClipSnitch's Free plan adds a small watermark that its paid plans remove, and every plan posts to YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels and LinkedIn, with scheduling on paid plans.
Submagic plans are per member and counted in videos: Starter has 15 videos up to 2 minutes ($19 a month, or $12 billed yearly), Pro has 40 up to 5 minutes ($39, or $23) and Business has 100 up to 30 minutes ($69, or $41).
Submagic’s official plansPlans are measured in minutes of uploaded video: a 12-minute video uses 12 minutes. Minutes are reserved at upload and come back automatically if processing fails or finds no clips. Plan minutes reset each month, and extra minutes bought in packs last a year.
ClipSnitch plansClipSnitch has a Free plan with 60 minutes of uploaded video a month and no credit card; clips made on it carry a small watermark. Submagic says you can try it for free with no credit card, without listing the limits on its pricing page.
Check the length limit first: Submagic's plans list a maximum video length, while ClipSnitch counts the minutes you upload. Then run the same recording through both and compare the moments each one picks.
Submagic lists publishing profiles per platform on its Pro and Business plans. ClipSnitch posts to YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels and LinkedIn on every plan, and schedules posts on paid plans.
Use the same source video in each tool. Check whether the chosen moment makes sense without the full episode, whether the crop follows speaker changes, and how much correction the captions need. Count the clips you would actually publish and the time you spend fixing them.
Review AI highlights, create a vertical cut, and make the captions your own. Publishing to YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok works on every plan; scheduling is on paid plans.
