1. Check your plan and connect YouTube

Direct scheduling requires an eligible paid plan and a connected YouTube channel. If publishing asks you to connect an account, follow the settings link and complete the YouTube authorization. Confirm the channel shown in the publishing dialog is the one you intend to use.

2. Choose a finished clip

Review the crop, captions and clip boundaries before opening Publish to YouTube. If you have an edited export, check whether you are publishing Your edit or the Original clip. Preview the version you intend to share.

3. Set the post details

Review the title, description and available YouTube settings. Scheduling makes the video public at the selected time; check that your intended audience and publishing choices are correct before confirming.

4. Choose the date, time and time zone

Select scheduling instead of posting now. The form uses your browser’s time zone: check the displayed zone, especially when travelling or working with a client in another country. Choose a time at least 10 minutes from now and no more than 90 days ahead. Review the selected date and time before submitting.

5. Confirm the post in your workspace

After submitting, check Posts and the content calendar for the scheduled job. YouTube uploads are prepared about an hour before the public time. A post waiting to go public is different from a clip that is already public; check its status rather than assuming submission means it has published.

6. Manage changes before publishing

While a job is still Scheduled, its post controls let you reschedule or cancel it. Once it has uploaded to YouTube and is waiting to go public, follow the post’s instructions to manage changes on YouTube. Do not assume canceling a local job removes a video that has already uploaded.

Common questions

Can you schedule YouTube Shorts without ClipSnitch?

Yes. YouTube lets you schedule any upload, Shorts included. In YouTube Studio on a computer, choose Create, then Upload videos, add the details, and on the visibility step choose Schedule and set the date, time and time zone. The YouTube app can schedule uploads too. ClipSnitch scheduling is for clips you make here, so you don’t have to download and upload them again.

Can I schedule YouTube Shorts on the Free plan?

Direct YouTube publishing and scheduling require an eligible paid plan. You can download clips on the Free plan and manage your own upload separately.

Which time zone is used?

The scheduling form uses your browser’s time zone and displays it for review. The calendar also shows its time zone. Check these before confirming, particularly if the audience or client is in another country.

How far ahead can I schedule?

Choose a time at least 10 minutes in the future and up to 90 days ahead. Check the post status and connected channel before relying on a scheduled release.
