Questions about the tools

Are ClipSnitch's tools free?

The browser tools (video compressor, video to GIF, video trimmer, MP4 to MP3 and the audio enhancer) are free with no sign-up. The AI tools are on every plan, Free included: the Free plan has 60 minutes of uploaded video a month, with watermarked clips. Posting and scheduling to social platforms are on the paid plans, from $12 a month.

Do I need an account?

Not for the browser tools: open one and use it. The AI tools, such as the clip maker, transcripts and the scheduler, need a free account so your projects and minutes are saved.

Do my files leave my device?

With the browser tools, no: the file is processed on your device and never uploaded. The AI tools upload your video so ClipSnitch can transcribe it, find clips and render them; you can delete a project at any time.

What's the difference between the browser tools and the AI tools?

Browser tools do one quick job on a file you already have, like compressing or trimming it. The AI tools understand the recording: they transcribe it, find the moments worth sharing, frame the speaker for vertical video, write captions and descriptions, and post it for you.

Which languages do the AI tools support?

Transcripts, captions and written text work in more than 30 languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Urdu and Arabic. The site itself is in English and Spanish.
