ClipSnitch walkthrough

How to upload YouTube Shorts from your computer

Already have a finished clip? This guide walks through downloading it from ClipSnitch and uploading it in YouTube Studio. You can upload manually without ClipSnitch’s paid direct-publishing feature.

1. Review the finished clip

Watch the complete edit and check the crop, caption spelling and opening and ending. Use footage and audio you have permission to publish. YouTube’s desktop Shorts upload guidance currently specifies a square or vertical video no longer than three minutes.

2. Download the version you want to share

Download the finished clip from your workspace. If you edited the clip, render and download the edited export rather than the original. Play the saved file to confirm that your framing, captions and audio changes are included.

3. Open your channel in YouTube Studio

Sign in to YouTube Studio and confirm you are using the intended channel. Choose Create, then Upload videos, and select your downloaded file. Uploading manually uses YouTube’s interface and does not require connecting your channel to ClipSnitch.

4. Complete the video details

Write a title that accurately describes the moment and add useful context in the description. Complete YouTube’s audience settings and review any copyright or other checks shown during upload. A catchy title should still match what viewers will see.

5. Choose visibility and publish

Review whether the upload should be private, unlisted or public, or use the scheduling options available in YouTube Studio. Confirm the selection before submitting. If you schedule there, check the date and time zone in YouTube’s interface.

6. Check the uploaded result

Wait for processing, then preview the upload on YouTube. Check audio, captions and framing, and confirm the intended visibility in your channel’s content list. If something is wrong, correct the source edit and export again before sharing.
